Boats will be assigned a time slot for measurement and equipment inspection of boat and equipment. Participants can indicate a preference for a specific time slot by registering via the equipment inspection registration form link here : 2026 J/22 European Championship Equipment Inspection Registration Form
Registration for equipment inspection will open on Monday, May 4, at 12:00 AM.
The European Championship starts with the measurement of the boat and other items. The following list of items can be checked.
- J22 class licence (sticker on aft)
- The national class association hands out the class stickers after paying the J22 class fee. Check with your local association.
- Dutch boats can het their license via the ‘Lidmaatschap’ page.
- Measurement certificate J22
- Dutch boats: Are you unsure whether your boat has a measurement certificate? Please contact the class board at bestuur@j22klasse.nl. We can search for your boat and have a new one requested.
- Sails(spinnaker, jib, main)
- One set of sails will be measured for the event.
- Sails will be measured using a template, the sails must fall within those dimensions. Precise dimensions are stated in the J22 class rules.
- Corrector weights
- The boat must have a weight of 857 kg. If this is achieved by lead (indicated on the measurement certificate), the lead must be securely attached to the boat.
- Inventory
- Inventory will be checked. To see which items should be onboard check: link
- Crew weight
- Weight of the crew is maximum 290kg. This will be checked during the registration.
